GARMIN INSTINCT 2 SOLAR REVIEW: THINGS YOU’LL LOVE
After using Garmin Instinct 2 solar, I attached the Instinct 2 Solar to my running watch, which also has a built-in GPS, and headed out the door. I was pleased to find that the Instinct 2 Solar had an accurate GPS lock and found my position quickly.
The watch also lasted the entire half marathon, with plenty of juice to spare. I was very impressed with how well The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar is a great example of how technology can be used to improve our lives. This GPS-tracking watch is not only accurate but also solar-powered, meaning that it can be used for extended periods of time without needing to be recharged. Plus, the solar-powered feature means that it is environmentally friendly.
I have also found that the solar-powered feature is extremely useful. I live in an area where there is not a lot of sun, so I often have to recharge my watch after only a few days of use. With the Instinct 2 Solar, I can simply leave it on my balcony and it will recharge itself.
Overall, I am extremely impressed with the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar performance and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solar-powered running watch.
The original Garmin Instinct was a solid GPS sports watch with few frills. It was a rugged watch that could track your location and activity data but didn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. Instinct 2 has those, but also adds HIIT workouts, new sports modes like golf, mountain biking metrics, VO2 Max, training and recovery time suggestions, and training effect/load, among other new metrics. It makes Instinct 2 much more useful than its predecessor.
The Instinct 2 also has a longer battery life than the original, and while it’s not as feature-rich as some of Garmin’s other watches, it hits a sweet spot in terms of price and functionality.
GARMIN INSTINCT 2 SOLAR REVIEW: WHAT YOU WON’T LOVE
The Instinct 2 is a great product and offers a lot of improvements over the original, but it doesn’t offer a complete experience. The battery life is awesome, but the price tag is a bit high. Other than that, the product is great!
The Instinct 2 is a solid GPS watch, but it doesn’t offer the same features as the Forerunner series. It’s missing out on features like live pace guidance, cadence alerts, estimated finish time, Garmin Coach, and so on. While it does offer a decent amount of data, it doesn’t have the same specialization as the Forerunner series.
GARMIN INSTINCT 2 SOLAR REVIEW: SHOULD YOU BUY IT?
The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar is a rugged and fully damage-resistant smartwatch that has all the core fitness data you need. It can recharge naturally by a windowsill or quickly via USB. It’s expensive, but much less expensive than other “adventure” smartwatches.
When it comes to fitness watches, Garmin is a brand you can trust. I’ve yet to test a truly “bad” Garmin watch – they all typically have a baseline of quality hardware and software you can rely on, more than most other fitness brands. So when you’re looking at Garmin watches, it’s important to trust your instincts and decide which one is the best for you.
